Who the tours are for
Do I need touring experience?+

No. Dragon & Rose is designed to help riders experience touring in a calm, structured, and supportive way. It is especially suited to newer tourers and riders returning after a break.

Will the pace be too fast?+

No. The group rides at a steady, managed pace led by Gareth, with regular stops to regroup, relax, have a chat, and enjoy the route.

Will I be left behind?+

No. The tours are small-group and support-led. Gareth leads the ride and Lucy follows in the support vehicle, so the whole weekend is designed around keeping riders supported.

What is included
What is included in the tour?+

The tour includes guided routes, two nights of B&B accommodation, small-group riding, route planning, and support vehicle backup for luggage and practical assistance.

What is not included?+

Fuel, food and drinks, personal insurance, riding gear, personal expenses, and any costs outside the stated tour inclusions are not included.

Is there a support vehicle?+

Yes. Lucy follows in the support vehicle, which provides reassurance, luggage support, and practical backup throughout the weekend.

Riding and preparation
Do I need my own motorcycle?+

Yes. Riders are expected to bring their own roadworthy motorcycle, with valid insurance, MOT where required, and appropriate riding kit.

How many miles will we ride?+

The main weekend format is usually around 400 miles in total, typically split across Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

What happens if the weather is bad?+

Routes and timings will be managed sensibly. The aim is always to keep the weekend enjoyable, safe, and appropriate for the conditions.
